Nice article in the Daily Bruin about Will Rogers State Park. The park, including Will Roger’s historic ranch house, is located less than seven miles from UCLA, off Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades, at 1501 Will Rogers State Park Road. Got a bike? Avoid the $12 parking fee inside the park and use bike racks on the front of all Metro Local Line 2 buses.

From, say, Gayley/Strathmore, below UCLA’s Tom Bradley Hall, Line 2 goes to Sunset/Evans Road, where it’s a short 0.8 mile ride to the start of your reward: A special place to see and be, walk and talk, hike or bike, picnic and, on weekends from May thru September, watch polo matches for free at the only remaining polo field in L.A.

Have you been there? What do you like best about it?
