Metro’s new Expo train line opens in a couple weeks on April 28th! The new line can get you between Downtown LA and the Westside in less than 30 minutes. Even though the train does not go right to Westwood (Metro’s Westside Extension of the purple line is planning on taking care of that), the Culver City Expo Line station is just a quick ride away on Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus Super 12 route.
The Super 12 is a short 25-30 minute ride from UCLA’s Ackerman Terminal to the Culver City Expo Line station with only two stops in between. Upon arrival, the Expo Line gives you quick and easy access to Baldwin hills, Crenshaw, central LA, Downtown LA, and also (dare we say it–yes, we dare’st) USC.
Along the way, you can stop at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, Exposition Park and end up at L.A. Live. Check out Metro’s Expo Line Destination Guide for more ideas and click here for a full view of the Expo Line’s route.
