Sepulveda SignAs part of Southern California Gas Company’s (SoCalGas) Pipeline Safety Enhancement Plan, construction is now underway on Sepulveda Blvd between Wilshire Blvd and Pico Blvd until mid to late August.

SoCalGas crews will be excavating pipeline and installing testing components to enhance the integrity and safety of its system.

To minimize traffic congestion, SoCalGas will complete nearly all work between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday through Friday. There will be no lane closures during peak travel times however, at times, there may be lane closures on Wilshire, Santa Monica, Olympic or Pico Boulevards. There also may be temporary street closures leading to Sepulveda (at Tennessee and Massachusetts Avenues).

UCLA drivers and bicyclists are advised to use caution while commuting through this construction area.

Construction is scheduled to take place during the following times:

  • Monday to Friday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (night work)
  • There will be no lane closures on Sundays before 8 p.m.
  • Crew may be working around the clock on or around July 25 and August 2.
