How did they do it?
During a mini-transit/carpool oriented food adventure this week, Diana, Jumy, and I spied this clandestine Chevy Volt marketing campaign on the sidewalks of Los Angeles’s Chinatown. More specifically, the words “230 Chevy Volt” was spraypainted or sandblasted onto the sidewalk along, I think, Cesar Chavez Avenue (correct me if I am wrong!) And this message was sandblasted multiple times along the sidewalk, so it was impossible to miss if you were walking.
I’m not sure if the marketing people are hitting the right demo with the location of this campaign. For one, I know I’m in their target demo because of my age, interests and pseudo-income, but how many college-educated twenty-somethings are walking through Chinatown these days?
