You still have a couple of days to fulfill your pledge for Rideshare Week (and if you haven’t pledged yet, hop on over to this site to do so; you’ll also be entered to win dozens of prizes!). If you haven’t had a chance to find a fellow traveler to carpool with yet, public transportation is a quick and easy alternative option to commute to UCLA.

There are several websites that can tell you the best way to get to campus from your location by public transit. You can use LA Metro’s trip planner or Google Map‘s handy public transportation option to find the best route for you. Commuting by mass transit lets you go green in more ways than one–you’ll help the environment by decreasing your carbon footprint and also put some money back in your pocket by having half of your quarterly ticket costs subsidized by UCLA.

If you’ve never tried public transit before, read these tips before you ride. You can also buy tokens or unlimited passes from the Central Ticket Office right on campus so you won’t need to fish for change at the bus stop!

If you have any questions, stop by our table at the Wooden Center (Bruin Plaza Side) to ask any of our representatives about any of our alternative transportation options. We’ll be there from 11am – 1pm. See you there!
