Welcome back, Bruins! The UCLA Bike Shop is starting off the new year by offering a series of free bike maintenance and traffic skills classes for all UCLA students, faculty and staff.
The Traffic Skills for Bicyclists class is a valuable opportunity to get safety advice and learn about what to look out for when riding in the streets. Participants who successfully complete the two sections of instruction will receive a free helmet and safety light!
Bike Maintenance classes are offered at both beginning and advanced levels and consist of three sections each. The classes cover topics such as making adjustments to brakes and gears and installing bike components properly. A Fixing Flats class is also offered free of charge for those who would like to learn about flat tire repair.
All classes are held in the UCLA Bike Shop located in the John Wooden Center across from IM field. Click here for the schedule and description of classes. Register as soon as possible to secure a spot in the class!
PS: The Bike Shop recently launched its own Facebook page. “Like” them to keep up with their latest classes, events and bike rental opportunities.
