Beverly Hills residents favor the placement of the Westside Subway Extension’s Century City station on Santa Monica Boulevard so that tunneling bypasses homes and Beverly Hills High School. (Beverly Hills Patch, The Source, LA Streetsblog, Beverly Hills Courier.)

The last meeting of this round of Westside Subway Extension hearings will take place today in Santa Monica at the Santa Monica Public Library between 6-8 p.m.

Dana Gabbard at L.A. Streetsblog talks up the Alt Car Expo, which will take place at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on Friday and Saturday, between 10AM and 5PM. Admission is free. There will be a bike valet. Attendees can Ride and Drive a variety of the newest alt-powered cars in the market place or soon to enter the market. Metro, Big Blue Bus, and the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition will also staff tables. Click here for more information.
