The Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition (LACBC) has an impressive resume of grassroots bicycle advocacy. The LACBC organizes everything from rides, outreach, to community support in order to help make improvements for bicyclists around Los Angeles County. Aside from the Car Free Fridays Campaign, and the City of Lights Program, the LACBC is also organizing an LA City bicycle count. Bicycle counts help better serve planners and advocates alike in order to help shape necessary change in bicycle infrastructure and policy. The LACBC needs volunteers for the bicycle counts planned for September. The LACBC also set up a public survey in order to gather input on where the bicycle counts should take place. If you have any questions, or would like to volunteer, contact Yogi Hendlin at firstname.lastname@example.org. In order to fill out the survey, click here.
