UCLA has been committed to foster the culture of mental and physical health and wellness among members on campus, as well as communities around us. UCLA Transportation is proud to be playing a part in this ongoing effort by encouraging the use of alternative transportation, and improving walkability, bikeability, ride-sharing facilities and transit use on and around campus.
The Healthy Campus Initiative is an integrated, campus-wide program that promotes healthy lifestyle choices to the UCLA community. The program will be kicked off with the Healthy Campus Launch Fair, which takes place on Monday, January 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Collins Court in the John Wooden Center. January 28 also marks the first day when students, faculty and staff can gain free access to all UCLA Recreation's facilities, including the John Wooden Center. Complimentary access will be offered all the way through February 1 to members with a valid BruinCard.
The Healthy Campus Initiative also partnered with various campus groups to provide accessible workshops and fun events over the next few months to facilitate healthy living to the UCLA community. "I ♥ Walking" is one of the events that we are particularly excited about. Join the walk from February 11 to 14, and spend time with your friends and colleagues while walking through campus and Westwood Village. Participants will also have a chance to win awesome prizes during the Grand Finale held at the Pauley Pavilion.
Join us at these meaningful events, and help to make UCLA a healthier campus!
