Just two days into the sales period for fall quarter, Go Metro TAP cards and BruinGo Flash Passes are being bought in record numbers.

Go Metro and BruinGo fall quarter sales are up 31% and 24%, respectively, compared to this date last year. That means more than 750 Go Metro and 1,700 BruinGo! Flash Passes have been sold as of Tuesday, 9/15.

We see wider awareness of the Go Metro and BruinGo! programs, along with the tough economy, as reasons for the spike in sales.

Sample Flash Pass

If you haven’t purchased your pass yet, go to the MyTransportation page on UCLA Transportation’s website  and select which product you’re interested in.

You can buy your Flash Pass or GoMetro Tap card online. The links are accessible from MyTransportation on www.transportation.ucla.edu

For the Flash Passes, you may choose to have them mailed to your home or held in the Transportation office. Personally, I’d go with picking up the pass in the office because the fall quarter period for the pass has already started.

The GoMetro TAP card takes roughly 48 hours to be usable on all buses.
