UCLA is proud to be the first UC campus to go tobacco-free! The policy will take effect on Earth Day, April 22nd. The smoke-free policy aims at reducing threats of disease and death caused by tobacco use and exposure to secondhand smoke. The entire UCLA community is invited to come celebrate the launch of the tobacco-free policy in Bruin Plaza from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Feel free to stop by and hear from UCLA Chancellor Gene Block, participate in giveaways, learn about the policy and find out ways to quit or cope with smoking cravings.

Celebrate Earth Day with E3 and The Pachamama Alliance and learn more about ways to overcome sustainability and social justice issues. Join us at the 9th Earth Day Fair organized by E3 and UCLA Sustainability. This free event is happening on Wednesday, April 24th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Intramural Fields, UCLA. There will be over 50 on- and off-campus environmental organizations at the Earth Day Fair to share their sustainability efforts, achievements and information on opportunities to get involved. Come network and enjoy some free food and live music. Don’t forget to enter the raffle to win prizes such as TAP cards for Metro, mushroom growing kits, a free bike tune-up at the UCLA Bike Shop and more. Nourish International at UCLA will also be holding a Swap Meet at the Earth Day Fair. Feel free to bring any used books, CDs or sweaters to trade and exchange.
