The 2012 Los Angeles River Ride is this Sunday, June 10th.

The LA River Ride is probably one of the largest organized bike rides throughout the year. There are seven different rides depending on your level of experience and comfort – 100, 70, 50, 36, 15 mile rides and a kids ride/fair. All rides except the reverse 70 mile ride start at the Autry Center in Griffith Park. The reverse 70 mile ride starts at the Shoreline Aquatic Park in Long Beach.

Aside from touring the historic LA River, the River Ride will also feature an eco expo, raffles, live music and food.

Registration and more information about the River Ride are available here.

The LA River Ride is presented by the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition (LACBC). If you aren’t currently a LACBC member, check out their membership packages. The LACBC is the largest bike advocacy group in LA. As an LACBC member, you get discounts at participating bike shops and businesses throughout LA and discounts and invitations to member-only group rides.
